I have known Martha for15 years and she is a dear friend and professional. The article left out the fact that she instructed one of the musicians in the band "My Morning Jacket."
She knows what an important part music can play in the lives of her students, but she also knows how important to feed her own creativity and interest through her students. We were sorry we couldn't attend the performance at the library. Thank you Martha for you and all you do.

[...] The first LaGrange writers’ seminar, I think, was a success. About twenty-five people attended, which was a good number for the first event. Not too overwhelming and it gave us all a chance to meet each other and become acquainted. The photos for the event are posted at the Writers’ Seminar Web site. [...]

LOL - but you handle "famous" well. I'd rather stay in my jammies and work. Then, I can get out several times per year and help promote authors so they get famous. Perhaps, in my old age, some of you will be grateful enough to feed me a lunch every now and then. (I'm laughing so hard that tears are running down my face...).

Martha is an eagle that has been waiten' for years to soar!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank You for giving her the chance to show just how beautiful she really is and the gift the Creator has given her through her music. Her tones are as soft as an angel's whisper or as free as the desert winds. She walks the Red Road and is a kind soul.
I live in Michigan so I can't make the evening in the flesh but know that I am with you in spirit.
May the Four Winds be kind to you and your lodge,
Wado,

Hi Elayne -- this seminar is great for anyone who has not been published, because all the authors speaking have been published by various means. They will answer questions such as this one on Saturday.

Brown-bagging is an option for Saturday. You can bring your own lunch and beverages, or use the vending machines located at the library. In this case, Saturday is free to attend. However, we still need to know if you are attending, as we need to set up for Saturday on Friday evening.

As for Friday evening, going "brown-bag" is not an option, as there are other expenses than wine to consider. If you plan to attend both events, therefore, the cost for two people is $35 for both Friday and Saturday -- this is a deal!
