Giving hands abound!
Sponsors are saints. Sponsors enable many events to move forward so that entire communities can benefit from activities that would, otherwise, be too costly for production or community participation.
For the Writers’ Seminar, some sponsors are providing money to help defray costs. In other cases, sponsors have stepped forward to offer their services at cost or to donate products or services. And, we hope the list will grow over time.
The 2010 First Annual LaGrange Writers’ Seminar’s sponsors are listed below, with links to pages on this site that expound upon their offerings to the community and the ways and means to contact them. Our suggestion? Support them as they support you. The list is in alphabetical order:
- Delizie Italiane: Italian cuisine straight from…well, straight from Italy and from local providers. Meet Sandra and Caroline and learn more about their yummy foods and services. They are providing the food for Friday evening’s event and lunch for Saturday’s seminar at the Writers’ Seminar.
- Karen’s Book Barn & Java Stop: Learn more about this local independent book store and coffee shop and one of the few wireless ‘hot spots’ in town. Karen is one of this event’s organizers and the Book Barn will sponsor coffee and snacks on Saturday morning before the seminar begins.
- Oldham County Public Library: The perfect facility for research or for any event – a true community service that is about as ‘green’ as it gets, to boot. The LaGrange branch is hosting the Writers’ Seminar.
- Writers Bridge: This is an international writer’s group based in Lynchburg, Virginia. Learn more about how this group started and their goals. The Writers Bridge is this seminar’s inspiration, and they offered to fill in the gaps, providing services that will make the weekend flow smoothly for participants.
